The wife and i went on a little 24 hour kids free getaway to a B&B in mandeville. I have to say, the food scene is definitely on the ascent.

Had brunch/ lunch at Hambone and it was incredible. The owner/chef was the EC at commanders palace.

Had dinner at this place called Coscino's. Went strictly off of reviews. When we walked in and sat down, we felt like we made a mistake but i got chicken alfredo and the wife got a chicken alfredo pizza and they were both out of this world good.

Heard a lot of good things about Meribo's and Cafe Lynn but just didn't have enough days to eat that many meals.

Just a big FYI post.

Dude,

Y’all should have hit Cafe Lynn over Coscino’s.

I mean, i guess knowing what other people know, we should have. But going strictly off of reviews, Coscino's was rated higher and had way more reviews. Knowing only that, we chose coscino's. We'll be back soon and hope to try the others.

Hambone is a gem but I worry about their longevity

Their fried boudin with pepper jelly app is ridiculous

Last time I was in Coscinos the owner was fall off her barstool drunk and hit on me food is great though

Why don't you think they'll survive?

My office has been in Mandeville for 9 years and I’ve yet to eat Cafe Lynn. I must do this soon.

We’ve been quite a few times and rarely are there more than 3 tables filled. Last time we were there for dinner on a Friday night and were the only table there for 30 mins of our meal. This was at 7pm.

I hope I’m wrong though because their food is great

Ate brunch there a week or two ago. “Incredible” pretty much describes our experience. Food and atmosphere was great!
