Turtle Soup is a must have. From there, anything goes.

Gosh, I hate to hear that. Makes me wonder if the chef and owners have their hands in too many pots at once.

I went in October, and I just had to chalk it up to them having a bad night, perhaps. It's extremely unusual to have to ask them to clear the empty plates from the table, that's for sure.

It was so mediocre that it was almost like I didn't even have dinner there, if that makes sense?

I'll be back eventually, just feel like I gotta wait a while...

Back from a brunch today and all was very good. We were part if the opening 11am seating so unsurprisingly food took longer to get from the kitchen (many ordering at same time), but everything came out to right temperature. The room captain did apologize for length of time for appetizers (preemptively, we were not complaining). He said the chef saw something he didn't like on the plate so it was redone. I'm unsure why he would know of our specific plates so I chalked it up to being a great line.

I started with the shrimp and tasso henican and it was great, just as pictured in Darla Hood's photo. Chef Tory came around (a first for us) and asked us about the appetizers. I wanted to say that there's too much pepper jelly and that made every bite homogeneous, but I know that's my personal preference and I didn't want to be a ****. Wife had the pain perdu which while good was like a second dessert that makes much sugar for one meal. Both were good but I'd recommend the turtle soup or a salad over both apps. There were some good looking apps/salads with peaches, for example.

For entrees we sent with the beef tournedos and the pecan gulf fish. Both were very good, but we both preferred the tournedos.

Had the bread pudding souffle and "blueberry and cookie dough
crumble." She liked her souffle and I preferred the crumble.

Service was much improved over our last few visits. We weren't particularly impressed by the primary server (just not memorable and seemed, but the rest of the staff was excellent. Friendly, attentive, and everything you'd expect.

Overall, everything was much improved. The only things I'd change are literally to my personal tastes and nothing worth complaining about.
