Passing thru Clemson area Tuesday around lunch and plan to check out the campus.

Is there an equivalent to Chimes (LSU) or Hugo’s (Ark) that is a local favorite?

Dabo owns the Walk Ons Sports Bistreaux there , and would appreciate your patronage.

ETA: Clemson is East Coast as all hell so maybe check out Todaro Pizza. They are from New Jersey.

Esso Club was great. Old gas station converted to a restaurant in the 30s, in the shadow of the stadium just off campus. Full of Clemson pics, headlines, etc.

The place was packed for lunch, and the waitress said that is common, but it emptied out quickly after 1. Looked to be a lot of blue collar workers taking their lunch break there.

They have the regular menu of burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc. and also a daily meat-and-three selection that is posted on Facebook. There were 5 choices of meat and over 25 sides. Everything we had was good. Great place for a meal if you are in the area and want to have a little Clemson experience.
