I need a place to eat tonight. I am at the Hyatt McCormick Place at the convention center. Any recommendations?

Google your subject + tigerdroppings. Not being an arse, there have been some great Chicago dining threads in the last few years.

Yeah, you're damn close to downtown, so just asking "where should I eat" in a city like Chicago is a bit vague and tough to answer without any additional info.

I understand but I really have no idea where to start. I know Pizza is an option but I had that the first night I was here.

You’re 10 minutes , 5 miles from Girl and the Goat . Call to see if they can fit you in

A good place would be with the food type you like, or a rough budget.

If you can afford a bit more, head to Bavette's and try and belly up at the bar. You'll be in for maybe $100 per but it'll be one of the best meals of your life. If you want just a great restaurant with a cool scene, try Sunda. A little below that, something like Hub 51 would be good.

I thought it was good but not great.

To that end, same neighborhood...Green St Meats is the best BBQ in town. And Little Goat Diner is fantastic but more casual (and yes, I know this is also a Stephanie Izard restaurant )

Joe’s seafood, steak and stone crab, bar sienna and Pquods for some pie are a few of my favorites when visiting

Girl and the goat was good and all but didn’t live up to the hype.

I went simple with what the USA Today calls the best sandwich in America. Is the fried steak sandwich from Ricobene's. I have to say it was really good but a good roast beef or shrimp po boy is hard to beat.
