ok, leaving Chennai in a few hours.
Never made it to Copper Chimney, we ended up going to a place named Giorgio instead.. they consider themselves a "global cuisine" restaurant.
We ate with the owner, and he basically just gave us a sampling of everything on the menu, and some things that weren't... all while sipping his favorite whiskey (Johnny Walker Green).
Best thing we had were the Paneer Kabobs, but everything we had was phenomenal... but maybe it was because it wasn't true Indian food and we were desperate to get off of Indian food by that point. Also had some really good broiled fish and shrimp.
During the meal... we mentioned that desperation to him, and told him it was so bad that we'd eaten at a local Domino's the previous day. He also owns a pizza joint, so he sent a couple of pies to work for our lunch today. The pizza wasn't as good as the meal last night, but it's as good as you're going to get in a place where you cant find beef or pork anywhere

so if anyone on the board makes it to Chennai, here's a ranking of the places we ate:
1. Giorgio
2. Barbeque Nation
3. Le Club (in Pondicherry)
4. Minar (at Savera Hotel)
