I am looking to add a 14 Qt cast iron Dutch oven. I have (2) 10 and a 20 for something in the middle to cook on my stove and in the oven. Lodge is my first choice however, they do not make this size. What are the next quality cast iron brands I should look for? My 20Qt is from Cajun Classic that I purchased from Lamadella’s that I think is made in China. Lid is warped, returned it and got a new lid, was a little better but not perfect. Want quality. How is Bayou Classic brand cast iron? Also, I am not interested in enamel cast iron.

I may be mistaken, but getting a 14 qt in your oven may be a pretty tight squeeze. Also, I hope you've got some sturdy racks in there.

I have the 14qt. It's ok. Have no real affinity for it. I use it as my fry pot when I do a lot of fish, chicken wings, etc...

My oven is nice size and actually fits my 20qt, only when I cure it. I don’t cook in the oven with my 20. I usually make gumbo, etoufee, smothered chicken etc. in it and purchased it to use outdoor for smaller cooking than my #15 Jambalaya pot. But found myself using it inside more often.

I don't like frying fish in the house so I use a separate outdoor propane burner. The bayou classic 14qt works well with it. I would be fine cooking etouffee and other one pot dishes in it on the outdoor burner.
