What is your go to for kitchen cutlery? Looking to buy a nice carving knife and am looking for recommendations.

This is what I use.

It's inexpensive, and works great.

Cheap, easy to sharpen, and versatile. You can get a 2-pack from Costco for $16 and change.

Dexter Russell knives are great. Reasonably priced, hold an edge as good as Henkel or Wustoff knives, comfortable handles and made in the U.S.
