Can't miss Boston Recs

Island Creek and Row 34 serve the best oysters that I've had outside of the Cape. Brewer's Fork has a diverse tap list and good pizza. Highland Kitchen is a fantastic experience. For a quick bite and excellent Indian food, Ali's Roti near Northeastern is terrific.

Abitafan is the guy to talk to, though.

I just got back from Boston a couple of weeks ago. Neptune Oyster and Row 34 are the two places I would highly recommend. Good luck on narrowing it down - there are so many good eats to choose from!

Also get out in the burbs in Everett and hit up night shift Brewery.

As for things to do...just walk around and get lost in the city. Boston is a very walkable city with solid public transit and a bike share program that will get you around efficiently. The historic stuff is great, but don't go overboard on the tours/touristy stuff...see the sights at your own pace.

Hit up a Sox game if they are in town, Fenway is a temple in the sport of baseball, and anyone who is a fan of the sport should go.

A lot of the places already listed are really solid options.

I think it's helpful to know what kind of food you're looking for, price point, and maybe where you're staying.

As some have mentioned, there's just so many choices that you have to narrow it down. But off the bat, some of my favorite places to go/recommend are (in no order):

That's a pretty good list to start with, but there are dozens and dozens of other excellent places to go.

Wife and I actually popped in the other night and sat at the bar. It was incredible as usual. Mentioned to Carl that there was a guy that I recommended go there (referring to you) and that you have brought up how much you enjoyed it many times.

Yeah I know I bring it up pretty much every time. But for real, it's legit. I talk about it that frequently in real life, too. That and the harpoon tour, the people there were just great. Plus I got super sloshed.

And reading my quote, it sounds like I was making it out to be overpriced. It's not. It is well worth every penny. But since OP didn't mention his budget, I wanted to be sure he knew the deal. It's not like the Chimes or someplace that you could recommend and is accessible to most any travel budget.
