Long story short, a Rouses butcher unwrapped a full packer brisket, cut it in half for me and sold me just the point.

Honestly, just buy the packer from sams/Costco. It's cheap as heck right now at 2.60 for select and 2.90 for prime.
Buying it split is gonna cost you the same.
