Brine for wild hog? Anyone have some idea?

I have 2 skinned wild hogs in the freezer, about 20-25lbs each and plan to smoke them on Saturday. What should I use to brine them with prior to going in the smoker?

Whatever you decide add pineapple juice. One of those small some cans is sufficient. It takes away the gameyness.

I used 1 cup salt, 2 gallons water, bottle of soy sauce and 1/2 gallon pineapple

The enzyme in pineapple juice will also eat the proteins and kind of dissolve the meat after prolonged exposure.
I'd watch the concentration and brine time.
I tried doing a brine on some feral hog shoulders a while back with a little vinegar and the rest like what's in this link. I let it soak for over 24 hours. Don't think my brine did squat for the meat.

Just do a basic brine to retain moisture. No need to tenderize or add flavor. There will be no wild game flavor in 25lb piglets.
If it's a slow smoke you need to add some cure and you don't have enough time for that.

25lb piglet shouldn't have any gameyness. I killed a sow last weekend that probably weighed about 125lb and isn't gamey at all.

Doesn't the gamyness depend on what they are eating?
