I have been one time and tried different things but I was wondering what the board's opinion was.

Are you asking for a place to go or what to order

Sorry, what to order because it is my understanding there is only one dim sum restaurant in Baton Rouge.

They back from China yet? Can't tell if that place is opened or closed from the parking lot, be it day or night, when driving down Airline.

Shrimp dumplings are good. The pork buns have a little meat and a lot of bun.
I added some soup the only time I went to the one off of airline.
It is not tradition dim sum just so you know. it is more of a cooked to order dim sum.

I'm not a fan of Dim Sum BR..been multiple times over many years..sorta stanky..and by judging how dilapidated the building is..tells me all I need to know about what grade of product that they are able to afford purchase via suppliers.
I wait between trips to NO, Hou, LV, SF, NYC..even if it takes years or decades.

You left out Montreal. One of the best Chinatowns in North America with killer Dim Sum restaurants.

If I could get SF quality Dim Sum here I would live at the place.

The choice is being made by a friend of mine so I am looking for some things there that may be ok. Last time we went one of the guys pretty much ordered for the table. I did not like any of the shrimp dishes (the shrimp had a funny taste). I don't really care for dumplings anyway or chinese bbq pork. I really did like the chinese broccoli however.

Not good! As in bleach odor, perhaps?
