Hard to believe that as popular as bourbon and Tennessee whiskeys are that they are just a little over half of the volume they sold in the 70's.
1970 saw sales of about 36 million cases.

Real whiskey drinkers and hipsters don't drink the same thing.

You have enough horde away to light up your whole town for a year.

Think of your beer choices of the 1970's? I would have fit in a few more whisky drinks myself.

Craft beer has been a thing now for about 20 years. It's definitely taken a bite out of liquor sales.

More like 8-10 years, not 20. That would have been 1997 and name me some of the craft beers from that era?

I was drinking Sam Adams in Austin in 1994.

You can shite on Sam Adams all you want because it is HUGE now, but in the mid 1990's it was a craft beer. I don't know how many flavors he had back then, if he was making different styles etc.

Sierra Nevada also. I know I have been drinking green label Sierra Nevada Pale Ale for more than 8-10 years.

I think you are mistaken, and I think realizing your mistake might make you feel like an old man.

I'm sorry.
