Birmingham folks (or prob any AL town) - Anyone have wine delivered to home?

Moving there from Nola where we have done wine delivery for a decade. Any experience in Bham/Bama getting home wine delivery?

Were I a wine drinker, I would first try Hop City LINK. Met the folks when they had a weekly radio show here in town; they seemed to know their stuff about not just beer -- of which I do drink. A lot.

I tried to get wine delivered to my house from Napa and they wouldn’t do it. I had to send it to family in Louisiana and pick it up when I visited. I’m not sure why but knowing this state and it’s view on alcohol, I’m sure you can’t or have to get it shipped to a store or something. This state has ridiculous rules for alcohol.

I think the laws may have just changed but I’m not certain. You used to have it shipped to the ABC store and pay taxes or something there when you picked it up. But I feel like Ive heard people say that’s no longer the case.
