You have to go to Don's if you are in Scott. Its better than both of them especially Best Stop. The cracklins are not even comparible. The only Boudin King to get from is the one in Breaux Bridge....

Never been impressed at all with Boudin King

If you are buying it frozen it will be a bit mushy.. That happens when you unfreeze rice.
BTW to the other poster Dons and Best Stop are basically the exact same.. Dons just somehow keeps their cracklin fresh longer which makes a big difference. If Best Stop is fresh I prefer theirs but it never seems to be fresh.

Best Stop is overrated, IMO. We did a blind taste test (didn't know which was which) and Best Stop didn't even finish in the Top 5. My favorite is the Mowata Store in Mowata, followed by Poche's in Breaux Bridge.

Mowata Store is very good. Really dont care for Poche's at all though dont know what it is something about the rice. The smoked boudin is what is really good at Best Stop. I prefer Dons when Im in that area.

Do you have to ask for the smoked boudin specifically at best stop? I go and get the boudin but never asked for smoked boudin. They got different kinds?

Smoked and not smoked.. Just tell them X links of smoked and X amount of non smoked. I know of only two places that smoke the boudin.. Ronnies and Best Stop. Must be a family thing.
