Best shipped prep meals company

I want to start doing this. I’ve heard home chef is good. Does anyone have a strong opinion on the best company to go with whether it be blue apron, home chef, or whatever? Looking for quality more than anything obviously but definitely want to pay no more than $60-$70 a week for two person meals.

I'm on my 4th week with Home Chef. I've enjoyed it so far. The recipes are fairly simple if you already are decent in the kitchen but the ingredients have been fine and it is enough for a meal. I get 2 servings of 3 different meals. I make one for dinner then eat the second serving for lunch at work. It still allows me to cook for myself if I have a craving for something. I'll keep using it for now.

I do it to A.) save time and B.) save food. I was buying $100 or more in groceries every week.
I’d cook 1 or 2 of the things I’d planned, eat on it for a few days then either get tired of it and cook something else I’d plan and end up throwing the cooked stuff out or I’d wait too long to cook something and it would go bad. I have definitely saved time, money and wasted less since doing the service.

Ya I know right there with you on that. Always end up throwing leftovers out. It looks expensive on paper so I’m curious to see the portions and if this can work for me.
Praying to god that things take a turn and I can start ordering the premium meals in a few months haha

It is possibly slightly more expensive than if you go to the store yourself and pick out the same ingredients but there is no time wasted going to the store and no leftovers. It also helps me with portion control as I am trying to eat less. I make the meals, put one half on the plate to eat for dinner and the second in Tupperware for work the next day (I can't leave work for lunch so must bring everyday).

The meals are fine, but for me, I became hostage to cooking them. They stack up on you in a hurry if you have a busy schedule

I enjoy cooking and the meals take under an hour so it works around my schedule. I usually get home between 6:45-7 and can be done eating by 8.

This is my issue. We've only done Blue Apron, but the Wednesday only delivery option for our area was a killer since we have plans to eat out Friday-Sunday. We were throwing one meal away, and more if things popped up on Wednesday or Thursday nights. We didn't trust the ingredients to last until the next week, so maybe it's our fault though.
