I need to try it again because I cant get past them having terrible bread. Also feel they are stingy on meat, but maybe that is Italian deli style.
I have tried Francolini's three times, three different sammies and feel the same way.
Top 3:
1. Stein's Rachel - Hot Pastrami, Swiss, Kraut, Russian Dressing on Rye
2. Short Stop - Chipped Roast Beef Po-Boy
3. Come Back Inn Muffaletta - Warm, cold olive salad on the side to add to your liking.
Honorable Mention: Cochon Butcher Buckboard Bacon Melt

For me, it’s the Sam at Stein’s. But after reading this thread, I guess I need to try the Rachel. Didn’t realize the only difference between the two is the Sam uses slaw and the Rachel uses sauerkraut. I’ve only ordered the Sam at Stein’s because after I had it the first time, I couldn’t get anything else at each future visit.
Glad to hear Milk Bar is still open. Use to go to the one by Touro often.

The Clooney at Milk Bar really is a solid addition to the list.
