I remember the days when i could stumble drunk into Verti Marte at 2-3 am, and walk up and get a sandwich anytime. Anthony Bourdain fricked that up. I tried to go on Nye a couple years ago, and they had a fricking bouncer. I'm glad they're getting the recognition they deserve. But i hate it when it becomes impossible to eat at my favorite spots.

Brad Pitt touted the greatness of Verti Marte many times, too.
I like both Johnny's and Verti Marte.. but the only drawback is that there's no place to sit at VM.

I like Parkway, but that's not in the quarter.
Two weeks ago was my first time trying Parkway. Of course I ordered the heralded Surf n Turf as recommended. The gravy was bitter and ruined the sandwich. The bread was incredible, I should have gone with the shrimp. I will give it another shot, but I should have known it would have been a 'debris' type gravy being in NOLA.
I will go w/ shrimp next time, I'm sure it will be great
