Mansur's chargrilled are superior to Acme's, but Acme's are acceptable. As suggested, you can eat in the bar at Mansur's which is more casual than the restaurant dining. You'll see them grilling and you can also eat dinner in the bar, if you like.

If your guests want to sample other more traditional seafoods like fried oysters, shrimp and the like, Acme is servicable for that or go to Parrain's. You could restaurant hop. Drinks and oysters at Mansur's and then hit a different restaurant for the meal.

Best place in BR if you want everything on your plate to be brown.

I've actually never been there. People on the board seem to like it. I'm fine with Acme. It's okay food if I want a fried poboy and the oysters are good enough.

He means everything on the plate is fried.

And he's not wrong.

I think that defines Chimes.. Its been a while since i have been but Parrains had some very good fish dishes on their menu. Actually some of the most numerous fish dishes you will find in BR.

All I know is what I experienced a couple of weekends ago.

If I lived there, I'd go again. It wasn't terrible by any means. But since I only get down there a few times per year, I'll go to other places.
