Also there use to be a place on Tchoup and Julia across from Tommy's wine bar, think it Should Toma's bistro now... forget the name, but they had some legit Mexican dishes.... me and Lil Bit use to hit them up late sundays for the $2 house Ritas with house squeezed limonatta.

I actually like Casitas
Only went twice. Might have to give them another shot. Thought all the dishes with tortillas were dry.
We do Arana pretty often. Haven't had them for brunch.

That actually is a pretty underwhelming list. In NOLA proper Guerrero is pretty much the top. La Casita I like more than most, and the happy hour is legit. It's just something we have to accept -- not a lot of really good Mexican food in the city. Arana is solid too. Outside of that, it's questionable.
If you wanted to dip out to Kenner, that's a different story. But NOLA proper, there are a lot of other fantastic styles of food to enjoy.

Is Saritas still open? Tried going a few weeks ago and they were closed on a Tuesday.
Reminds me of the places out in Kennah-brah.
Coyota is a damn good taqueria in the lower 9th

Let me edit. I taught the owners nephew. I don't go to Saritas anymore as a result.
Haven't been to Coyota. Legit?
