Best King Cakes to ship overseas

Most places are going to charge you out the wazoo for shipping. Do it yourself.
If you are sending it to APO, you shouldn't have to pay international shipping (I think).

I'm gonna guess that the brand doesn't really matter, as you are gonna need something with no filling due to the transit time....
honestly, it is a very nice gesture, but the king cakes I have had shipped to me typically weren't very appetizing when I opened them...they are tossed around quite a bit in transit...

If the person you're sending to can measure, stir and use an oven, mam papaul's mix is okay and it would be easy to send. The site below has a picture of the box and you can find it in some grocery stores. I've bought it at Albertson's and sent it to someone who wanted it.

Kind of expensive but they will ship it correctly and include a bunch of mardi gras stuff in with the cake as part of their standard package. They move alot of king cakes so the one you ship out will have been made that morning and will be fresh for whoever gets it a day or two later.

My friend's family owns that place so I have probably helped pack 20,000 or so of those cakes working part time during mardi gras.
You would be suprised how many people do pay for that overnight fee to ship overseas.
