I’m in market for a 36” Bluestar range.

Interested why you say oven was janky.

Never used one of their ovens but rangetops are badass.

TIA

You don't have to cook asparagus until it's mush.

I own a BS 30” range, and I run a small home based bakery business using the BS oven. I do not find the oven janky in the least—it will hold full sheet pans, even in the 30” model. Three racks, incl one full extension rack w slides. The IR broiler is pretty good, too.

Now, it’s still a gas oven, so it is vented. You can’t steam-bake unless you use a closed vessel (pot, cloche, or similar setup), but that is the case with any gas oven. Any drawbacks, to me, are outweighed by the cheap cost to operate a natural gas oven where I live.

I can’t speak to the BS wall ovens; heck, I don’t even know if they make one.

Thanks HungryOne.

They do make wall ovens. They make a really nice French Door wall oven that is awesome but all that is a little out of budget at the moment.
