Opened today with about 75% of menu. Will have full menu starting Monday. I've been told that the portion missing right now is the seafood and a few apps.

This is a great place; there is one in Mandeville that has been open for years.

If the po-boys are as good as the original it should be. Bear's is very legit.

The roast beef is one of the two or three best in the NO metro area. Parkway and Parasol's are the only ones I can think of that are as good.

The roast beef debris poboy is awsome. Have a bathroom close by though.

Are you serious? 3 months after I leave BR they finally open a Bear's. I've been wanting them to do this for the past seven years. If it is half as good as the original one in Covington you people are in for a treat. I HIGHLY recommend the roastbeef poboy, or if it is legit do yourself a favor and order the off the menu "fishin' sandwich".

Is The Ferdie the roast beef sandwich everyone is talking about?

Had that last night with Bear's Gravy Fries. The Ferdie was good, but I got it dressed and to my dismay there was no mustard...I think mustard makes the sandwich that much better, IMO. I could eat only one half...getting the fries with roast beef, cheese, and debris put a dent in my appetite.

Mustard is not common practice on a po-boy, and does not belong on bear's rb. Has anyone ordered the fishin' sandwich yet?
