How accurate are these things? I got a BGE earlier this year and have yet to smoke anything on it yet. Over the weekend I received the digiQ dx2 and was thinking about doing a brisket for Xmas eve.
Mistake testing out an expensive brisket for my first go round or does the digiQ do all the work?

I've got one for my WSM. Holds the temp at exactly the temp the gauge says it does. Verified it with my Maverick.
I use it whenever I'm doing long smokes (Brisket and Shoulder).

Go for it. If you have a Costco nearby then Brisket is cheaper than other meat options for Christmas.

Very accurate. Do you have the adaptor for your fan?
