You say soft-boiled...so your yolk is soft / a tad runny?

I need to try this. Thanks for sharing!

it probably varies by air fryer, but when i cut mine open they look like this:

just "past" being runny; maybe take a minute off or dump them in cold water if you want it a little less done in the middle.

ake 2 eggs from the fridge, put them in air fryer for 10 minutes on 300 for perfect soft boiled eggs

How did I live without this? I've probably eaten a dozen boiled eggs since and we literally show this trick to every one of our friends who come over and they are also blown away after trying one.

Mind blown. So much less hassle than boiling a dozen eggs
you dont have to boil a dozen eggs.....boild your 2... still the same amount of time as what your doing.

ok let me know where i'm wrong.

Scenario 1:
- Walk into kitchen, open fridge, take 2 eggs out, put them in air fryer & twist knob.
- 10 minutes later, take them out and put them under cold water in sink, peel and eat

Scenario 2:
- Open cabinet, remove pan, fill with cold water. open fridge, grab eggs (might as well boil at least 6), put on burner and baby-sit until water is boiling.
- once boiling, turn off and let sit for 5-10 minutes
- take pan off stove and pour out hot water & eggs in sink and put eggs in bowl in sink to cool
- wash pan or put pan in dishwasher

i'm not sure these are are equal.

why are you washing your pot when boiling but not washing your air fryer basket? if you wash one you need to wash the other.

Why are you baby sitting boiling water, nerd.

why are you turning anything off. boil eggs for 8-10 mins 11-12 for hard boiled.

Why can you cool the air fryer eggs with cold water but you cant do the same with boiled eggs?

My air fryer doesnt have a knob so i cant twist it...

Why do they call it an air fryer.. it isnt frying anything.... Its just a toaster oven.

You bring up a few valid points but it seems pretty straight forward to me that air fryer is less of a hassle. It's basically the same process, but without boiling water.

usually at least one egg breaks during boiling and there's egg goo everywhere.

i'm not sure i've ever washed my air fryer its kinda like my grill.

dont you have to time how long the egg is boiling so you dont ruin it? how ya gonna do that if you're not waiting for it to boil?

i just meant you turn the stove off to let the eggs finish right? and yes i was implying you put both the boiled and 'air fried' eggs in a cup of cold water so you can peel them easier.

why do you drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

Mind blown, because the first thing that pops up on a social app feed is a person putting four eggs into an air fryer. Like within seconds. They are watching us. Sheesh

For a few years now my wife has been using one of those cheap egg steamers off Amazon and they work quickly and great. But it's one more gadget in the kitchen. Worth it if you eat a lot of boiled eggs, otherwise if you are getting happy results with the air fryer method then keep on doing that.

The fastest way to eat an egg is to crack it into a hot egg pan for 1.5 minutes, flip, 1.5 more minutes, and plate.

Will have to give it a try. We normally do a dozen at a time in the instant pot. Our kids love them
