La Tiendita gets the love because it is real Mexican food, not faux Shiite. It is out of the way which hurts their overall sales. Parked underneath an overpass off of Siegen, and it is too hard for them to move anywhere nearby because of the prices. I don't know what happened to Afreaux, but he was the Mexican expert on here.

Go to kolache kitchen, they are the best I've had around BR (I'm from Houston, so is the owner). Make sure you get extra of the salsa they make in-house.
