We have done kabobs before and they are an easy fix. So hard to please everyone.

Attention TIGERGIRL Read all the way to the bottom...

quote:

a friend showed me how to make jalepenos stuffed with cream cheese wrapped in bacon

they were incredible...they were the talk of the tailgate last weekend

quote:

those are called armadillo eggs

quote:

you should try making them...incredible

quote:

Unsure if you have tried these. Some call them "alligator eggs" and others "armadillo eggs", nonetheless, they are very, very good. You will need, de-boned chicken thighs, pan sausage of your choice, we like hot, chive and onion cream cheese, bacon and jalapenos.
In general, 1lb of sausage and one 8oz container of cream cheese will fill about 10 thighs.
Brown the sausage with jalapenos. After draining, add the cream cheese and heat to combine. Lay out "seasoned" chicken thighs and lay in sausage mixture in middle and roll, finishing with bacon strip outside with a toothpick too hold together. Cook until inside is 165 degrees. These will go fast. Now you got me hungry! GEAUX TIGERS!! Through Thick and Thin

quote:

Made these for the Oregon game....heaven

You are very welcome. Mash here.

For Mississippi State/Georgia it's usually "Bulldogs". Premium(Nathan's) hotdogs slow-cooked in beer with all of the trimmings. The same toppings for the dogs go great with nacho chips. Extra credit if you make a homemade chili.

Auburn War birds or SC is chicken or duck
Florida is gator
ArKansas is pulled pork
Ole Piss is Natty Light
Vandy or KY is Cotton Candy

;)

Yeah , that's the thread I got the idea from last year. They taste really good but, you have to be on constant fire watch.

When I know I'm not going to be able to cook that day I precook several pork loins in oven that morning and slice and leave in pan then when I get out to stadium just put on my food warmers and you've got some great pork. I also do pulled pork this same way, start it on Friday night and by Sat morning you can pull it and just pull it out and warm for tailgating.

That's why I stopped cooking them on the grill at the tailgate.

I put them in a 200 degree oven at about 11 PM Friday night and just let them slow cook overnight. I wake up about 4 or 5 on gameday with my place smelling like bacon and sausage. They are "cooked to perfection" and all I have to do is pack them up and hit the road.

Sonds like a great plan for games you watch from home. For me, most of the fun is actually cooking at the tailgate.

but I will definitely try this for an away game.
