Anyone have a fridge only (no freezer) in their kitchen?

Setting up our kitchen and went appliance shopping and figured we’d be going with a 36” French door fridge w/bottom freezer. But we saw a Frigidaire full fridge (basically half of a full double unit). We don’t have the space for a full fridge and full freezer but kinda like the idea of a large fridge only unit. We will have a large pantry with fridge/freezer attached to our kitchen so frozen goods will be steps away.
Only worry is that the model were looking at is 32” and my worry is that in the event we change the unit out, our cabinet will be built to fit a 32” unit.

We have one in the laundry room. Have a full freezer and full separate fridge.

I kinda wish I’d gone with a full fridge and a separate full freezer. I have a side by side in the kitchen, a top freezer fridge 10’ away in the garage, and a big azz chest freezer next to that.

We have a side by side (separate units) refrigerator and freezer in our laundry room. They are both Whirlpool units. We also have a chest in the garage. Nice addition for our home. We freeze lots of vegetables every year, so the chest is limited mostly to vegetables. The freezer unit in the laundry room is meat, for the most part. The refrigerator is soft drinks, bottled water, wine, apples and carrots storage and that sort of stuff.
Between them, I built a roll out shelving unit to store our potatoes, onions, distilled water for coffee pot and some appliances. It rolls out or back in as needed. Sort of proud of the idea, which came from the wife (MHNBPF)

It's almost like I'm listening to someone narrate a "Wordless Workshop" comic. Example:

I was more talking about having just a fridge only in the kitchen and if that would be weird. From the fridge to the center of my island will be ~8’. From the center of the island to the fridge/freezer would be ~13’.

I would definitely not have a hole for a fridge smaller than 36" OP unless you have something like a 4" panel there that can be removed in the future for the normal size fridge. Resale for one but more importantly if you hate it the last thing you want is a hole smaller than your normal size fridge.
I don't think there is anything at all wrong with your idea of only a fridge.
What about ice? That's the only thing I'd be concerned about on a routine basis. But if you have say an undercounter ice maker then its no biggie.

Right about the 32” vs 36” hole. Definitely want it to be 36”. Will y’all to my cabinet guy to see if he can build it at 36” and trim it out with something removable if needed later on.
Don’t plan on having an additional ice machine in the kitchen so ice would be coming out of the pantry freezer. That would be the only inconvenience but we dureently don’t have an ice maker in our kitchen, it’s in our back kitchen and I go there to get water.

That’s what I’m looking to install (the one on the left less the glass door).
