The usual recipe is 1 lb sausage, 4 c. shredded cheese, 3 c. bisquick. Add whatever else you like - chopped green onions, rosemary, cayenne, garlic powder, etc. Roll into balls and bake at 400 for about 12 min.

appreciate the quick response.

I found the Bisquick recipe. I had some flour, borrowed some baking soda and added parsley, Tony's, garlic powder and Tobasco. I think I used too little flour though. I saw all kinds of different quantities of the main ingredients.

Baking right now...we'll see what happens.

Well were they edible? I'm a pescatarian now so I don't eat sausage anymore. I used to love these when I was a kid. We called them "coon balls" b/c they were made with coon cheese - like cheddar. I make them now with the fake veggie sausage stuff for parties and add some olive oil to get a greeasier texture. Everyone thinks it's real meat. I do miss the meaty ones though!
