There would definitely have been a "yea - from your mom" response by now.

Heard Carltons has some really nice crabs for $30 a dozen. Sportsmans Seafood and Deli has been having some decent crabs most weekends for $22 a dozen.
And Tonys didnt have any live yesterday but I bought 4 midsize boiled crabs yesterday for $9. Sold by the pound.

How much is Tony's charging by the pound?
Posted on 6/9/17 at 6:22 pm to unclebuck504
Large $5.99
Medium $5.49
Small $4.99
Their large get expensive quick. You wont get a light crab at Tonys.

Got some from LA boilers on O'Neal today. 27.99 dozen. They were very good

You can get Louisiana blue crabs out here in Atlanta (what would be considered medium sized) for $3.99 a pound all day. You can often catch them on sale for even less.

Picked up 10 nice sized crabs from Tony's for $4.50 a lb yesterday evening. Ended up being $28. They were on the large side and very full. Forgot to take pics.

The best place I've found is Duckroost in St. Amant

I've gotten some from crawfish x-press in Plaquemine a few times for $21.99 a dozen (I think) and they were OK. I went to Tony's for lunch Thursday and they only had small & mediums. I've heard really good things about Christian Brothers in Gonzales.
