I'm a fan. I don't think it's too sweet.

On a serious note, thinking about trying it out. How hard is Ojen to find?

it's not that sweet. Not as sweet as a Hurricane or anything like that. I'm sure you can order it online but I've only ever had it at a few places like Cure in NO. I'm sure some nicer places in the quarter carry it.

Neighbor always takes shots of it, supposedly a Rex drink, but can't handle more than 1/2 a shot.

Hilton Riverside has it, made them pull down a bottle once...once.

You can find it local liquor stores. Prytania. Probably Martin’s. I saw some at Saia in Mandeville.

Bought some at Acquistapace's in Covington today actually. On drink number four. Glass of crushed ice, 2 oz of Ojen, 10 or so dashes of Peychaud’s bitters and a splash of club soda. Great, old school New Orleans cocktail, also known as an Old Hen!!!!!

First off, even if I wanted to I'm never gonna be in Rex or any of the like for many, many reasons. But Ojen is definitely most associated with Rex since they toast with it.

I drink Ojen twice a year, once of 12th Night, and my first drink of MG day. Really the only Mardi Gras tradition I try to follow.

You can by it at the Sazarac House, its a pretty cool story how they brought it back from extinction.

I still have about a half bottle of the original “MANUEL FERNANDEZ” Spanish version I bought at Martins around 2009- their final stock. I haven't tried the new Sazarac version.
