I assume the food is still very good. How is the ambiance? Do they have a bar worth spending some time at? Leaning toward taking the wife there this weekend, but couldn't find good reviews online. TIA.

Nice bar but they were way overwhelmed the night I was there. Slow to serve is no way to be when you are a new business and the bar is a major draw.
They spent some serious $$$ outfitting the place and it is one of the nicer restaurants in town decor wise. But... The dining room is obnoxiously loud. NOLA Galatoire's loud and, of course, everyone ends up screaming at each other to be heard which makes it worse. I spoke with the owner, he is friends with one of the people that was in our group, and he is aware of the issue and has ordered some sound mitigation materials that will be installed sometime soon. Frankly, I am shocked that his designers didn't see the issue coming but it is what it is.
The food was good (not great) but I am chocking that up to it being new and the place was packed the night we were there. I will be giving them another chance for sure. I was told their pork chop is the best thing on the menu but takes a long time to cook and I didn't want to order it since we were a large group.

I’ve heard good things so I’m heading there this weekend as well. I’ll buy you a drink if you are there at the same time.

We will probably make reservations for 8 or so, but get to the bar a couple hours before. Hit me up at blackngold0209@yahoo.
