Hadn't ever heard of it until a couple days ago, but apparently your blood type can determine the foods you should eat.
For example I'm B negative type and found out I should cut chicken out of my diet. Gonna start eating more fish and beef instead.
On the positive I can eat just about any dairy I want.

Chicken contains a Blood Type B agglutinating lectin in its muscle tissue, which attack the bloodstream and potentially lead to strokes and immune disorders.
On the positive I can eat just about any dairy I want.

Type B is the only blood type that can fully enjoy a variety of dairy foods. That's because the primary sugar in the Type B antigen is D-galactosamine, the very same sugar present in milk.

I mean it's scientifically based

Adherence to certain ‘Blood-Type’ diets is associated with favorable effects on some cardiometabolic risk factors, but these associations were independent of an individual's ABO genotype, so the findings do not support the ‘Blood-Type’ diet hypothesis.

CONCLUSIONS: No evidence currently exists to validate the purported health benefits of blood type diets.
There's a couple Norwegian scientific articles where he gets discredited too.

gotcha. just did a little more research and there doesn't appear to be any definitive scientific evidence to support it
seems as if it's like some other natural medicines or remedies, there isn't any real evidence to support them.
any good results vary from person to person

The Final Word
On The Blood Type Diet, you’ll avoid processed food and simple carbs. That may be enough to help you lose some weight. But any weight loss on this diet has not been linked to your blood type.
There’s also no research proving that this diet can aid in digestion or give you more energy.
Although you'll buy and prepare your own foods on this plan, your choices are limited depending on your blood type. So be prepared to spend some time in the kitchen.
The diet may quickly become expensive, too, since the author recommends you buy organics as well as his own line of supplements.
If the Blood Type Diet intrigues you, consider this: The science is stacked behind traditional recommendations for healthy eating for weight loss -- not restrictions based on the type of your blood.

I only made it as far as "should avoid caffeine and alcohol."

If by scientifically based, you mean selectively using certain facts to support the diet....it's fake science.

no. but I have no clue what my blood type is either

Myself and a friend's mom both happen to be type A and both tend to eat way more veggies and fruits than meat. Which is what the book says we should eat. We thought it was cool that we naturally did that before reading the book.
