A friend of mine is going to get a pellet grill/smoker. He found this one and it looks like a pretty good deal. It has Bluetooth, WIFI, 26 pound hopper, flame broiler, 180° to 500° F temperature range, etc. The next price-point for identical features is the Traeger at $300 more.
This is $530 online but $574 at a Walmart store.
"Pit Boss were one of the first companies to start competing with Traeger. As a subsidiary of Dansons, Inc the company was founded in 1999 by Dan Thiessen. ... In an interesting twist of fate, Joe Traeger joined Dansons in 2018 to work on both the Pit Boss and Louisiana grill brands."

I have a rectec and I’ve never owned a pit boss or traeger, but from what I read online while doing my research for buying a pellet grill, I think I would go PB over Traeger. $550-ish seems like a pretty good deal for what you’re getting.

Thanks
I have a 22" Weber Smokey Mountain. But the temperature control on these has me looking pretty hard. My buddy went to a WM and checked out one that was assembled. He said it seemed well built

This is what started our pellet grill/smoker craze. Another friend of ours ordered this. He has three 22-inch Weber grills and only uses one
Spider grills
These look really cool and I want one of these also
You just tilt the grill a little and it slides and clips right onto the pellet attachment
LINK
This is a plug and play also
YouTube review with very quick assembly
Temperature controller
12 pound hopper
How it delivers heat and smoke to the grill
Temperature gauge for the grill

I honestly don’t know anyone that personally has that brand. Looks like a good price for what all comes with that package. I own a Rectec at home. We keep a Camp Chef up at work. The plant is a long way from any restaurant so we like to grill and smoke food for lunch. Sure beats the one convenience store fried chicken day after day. Those are pretty expensive investments for a pellet grill. At the camp we bought a Z Grill 7002 for around $550 and it took about 3-4 days to land at my front door. It came with 3 bags of oak pellets, a cover, and a thermal blanket cover to utilize when it’s cold and windy. That Z Grill use to make a lot of Traeger’s better models before they went out on their own. I’m not sure if the newer Z Grills are tricked out with all that WiFi stuff but bang for the buck it’s sturdy like my more expensive pellet grills and is half the price of my Rectec and Camp Chef. It cooks just as good as my other more expensive grills. Without all of the promotional adds on I could have gotten that grill for $450 or so delivered. It’s 3-4 years old and knock on wood still works great.

My friend is excited about all of the features. I don't see why Wi-Fi and Bluetooth would be necessary on a grill/smoker that already has built-in temperature control.

I have one, it cooks well. The app and the wifi sucks. I wouldnt buy it if you are relying on those features.

I suppose so you can adjust temps up and down along with monitor meat temps from the couch.
