It's not like there's a shortage of places to hang out and watch a Saints game in BR.

I'll definitely be back. That's the best burger i've had since Bears closed down. And the fries are great.

Interesting... ever been to Tramonte's or Mason's Grill to compare? Those are typically my favorite burgers in town, except I'm rarely out that way. I know some people say Tramonte's is more like a meatloaf, but I still like it.

I find them to be alright... I go for trivia and $3 PBR pitchers occasionally and the burgers are good enough.

Are you sure it was the owner who was being disgruntled and indifferent? I can't see the owner being there and allowing shitty service to continue on.

I'm not 100% if it was the owner or not. It was at least the manager working the TV's at the beginning of the night. He seemed around his late 40's, early 50's. Like I said before, we got there just before 7:00 and got seated. Told the hostess we don't have a waitress at about 7:25. She does nothing. Told another waitress we have no server at about 7:35. Nothing. Finally tracked the manager down and he takes our order of first round drinks. Another 15 minutes or so for the beers and place an order for apps. Don't get our order that was said to be just sitting in the food area until the mid 2nd quarter. We then order our food then. Don't get it until mid third quarter about 45 minutes later. After we got our food we finally had decent service, but it took two hours or so of pulling out our hair to even feel like we were noticed. Yes they were horribly understaffed and I felt bad for the servers, but at the same time everyone in our area seemed like they didn't have a waitress for a while. One table next to us just got up and left while they were waiting on their food for god knows how long.

I would be as upset if the manager would have gotten at least part of the first round of drinks for us since we had waited nearly an hour to have anything at our table. But no, he told the server it wasn't on the house.

They were just in way over their head last night and were not prepared at all for it. Like Rag said, servers make below minimum wage. This is a saints MNF football during the holidays against the falcons. They should have had more than 5 or 6 servers for an entire restaurant.

Tramonte's is ok. Its like a piece of meatloaf on a burger bun. I prefer the burger at Mugshots over that one.

Mason's makes a really good burger. Sweet bun, similar to Mugshots...if you liked the burger last night, you'll like Mason's.

Yeah I hear great things about Mason's. I love the sweet bun at Mugshots as well.
Hopefully they'll step up their game because I LOVE the place. Brag can bitch all he wants.. we are not writing the place off
I like to give places more than one try, especially since this place is still new and it's the first time they've ever had a crowd. We both love the food, and I am just not the type to stop going to a place where I love the food JUST because of one night of bad service.

Why? What's the appeal of it? Other than the burgers, which apparently you and others enjoy. I'd heard nothing but horrible things about the one in Tuscaloosa... or is that not the same chain?

It's the same. I've eaten at the one in ttown at least 5 times on home game weekends. It's always slam packed and the typical wait is 20 minutes. But once you're seated, it never takes longer than an hour and you're out the door with a full belly. The waitresses are smoking too. I've never heard a bad word about it.

I've heard bad things about the food, not the service or talent. Specifically that the burgers are pre-packaged frozen, then overcooked.

Yes Im serious

Im not gonna drive across town to go get a fricking burger after all the bad things I have heard about this place

Like someone else said I can go somewhere else in BR to watch a football game and get some grub without having to wait hours for service/food/drinks

I think it's more of the staff and management almost going into meltdown mode for not being prepared for a packed restaurant. After venting, I will probably give them another chance at some point. Just not anytime soon so that they hopefully find more employees

i'd say if this happens again for a huge game like this, i would agree with you, bill .. but i'd give them the benefit of the doubt that they just fricked up and underestimated how many people would come in between christmas and new year's -- which is traditionally a dead time for all businesses -- and were just understaffed ... if it happens again .. then yes, they either didn't learn from this, or it is just par for the course when the place gets crowded .. and then i would certainly avoid it on those nights ...

but i have never had a bad experience in there .. i have yet to go watch an LSU or Saints game there, granted, but i have always found the food and service to be very good in there ..

The staff and management at the other locations often deal with packed environments for college game days with no problems.

I'd call this a case of bad anticipation/scheduling on their part. I'm sure they'll learn from it for next time

The one im Tuscaloosa is a large two story restaurant. And like I said, it's always packed. Ppl don't consistently pack out a restaurant that serves crappy burgers. And they serve a lot of things besides burgers. That's just what they're famous for. All of the apps are good too. Don't know about the fried pickles though. I don't frick with pickles.

Yes they do. Don't overestimate people.
