Imagine if Costera didn’t have such a sterile vibe and instead had the charm of a N7 or Paladar. It would be a home run paired with their excellent menu

So wife and i went to N7 Saturday night. Here's my review.
Atmosphere - Cool looking place. Very unique. We had an inside table (it was hot outside). I can see how this would be really nice outside, once the weather wasn't so hot.
Service - Service was good. Seeing as the menu is French/Japanese, i'm glad he gave recommendations and explanations. Food came out pretty quick
Price - The individual dishes themselves were not expensive. $17-20 per dish. Which isn't bad.
Portions - Howerver, the portions were very small. We ordered the following, and after tip, for the 2 of us, it was about $220.
Food:
Yellowfin Tuna Sashimi - Came with about 6 pieces of sashimi. It was good, but the flavors seemed a bit muted. Which was the common theme for the night.
Seared Scallops - Probably the best thing of the night. Came wit 4 scallops, tops with differing tempura. It was good, but i'm not a big scallop guy. Wife liked it though.
Roasted Cauliflower - Wasn't great. Just very bland, IMO
Crabmeat Gnocchi - i was disappointed in this dish. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. It tasted like it needed a little salt and some acid. Overall, i think all the dishes needed some hint of acidity in it.
Dessert - we had some chocolate mousse thing. It was good. Rich.
The ambiance of the place was really cool, but IMO, i probably won't go back just due to the price. Though that much for 2 is becoming more common at nice restaurants.
