Ideally, cheaper than Blanton's. It can be around the $150-$200 range at the most
Eagle Rare is great but getting harder to find. Used to be $35.
EH Taylor is awesome and comes in a cool box. I’ve only found it once and it was $60.
My mom got me a regular bottle of Woodford Reserve with my name engraved when I was in college. I think Woodford is a good bottle for the price, easy to find, and adding a name to the bottle is a nice personalized touch.

Well I wouldn't pay more than $70 for Blanton's
There is some good stuff around 150-200. Idk why you are being recommended some $35 bottles

I would buy wine or vintage port, bottled in their birth year. I did this for my 3 kids. I bought some second growth Lafite Rothschild, called Carruades de Lafite (could not afford first growth at the time) and a variety of good vintage port (Warre's, Dow etc...). It was fun to open a different bottle as they past milestones, and see how the wine had changed with age.
