Old pit broke and was in the market for a new pit. Got this one from Sam’s and must say I’m impressed. Easy to put together and decided to do some St. Louis style ribs with boudin and stuffed japes. Came out great. Pit held temperature really well with limited hard wood charcoal and cherry wood chips. I know it is not the BGE but it seems to be working for me. After 1 cook I would recommend it but I will see how it holds up after some time

I have an older model vision purchase from sam's. The quality isn't nearly as good as an egg but it cooks just fine.

Register the vision immediately. Your firebox will absolutely crack and they'll need to send you another.

Just an fyi.

The best and cheapest komado i've ever used is one of those 299.00 akorns from Walmart or where ever. Take care it though and keep it covered, it'll rust out on you if you don't.

Oh and another thing. I've had my vision for about 7 years now and except for the firebox, it's held up fine.

All kamados have firebox issues. I had a Kamado Joe and the firebox cracked twice in 3 years. It was replaced for free and KJ finally redesigned it

I’ve used both. The newer Visions are as good if not better than an egg. It’s a great ceramic smoker, and turns out great barbecue.

I have the Icon 700, and love it. One thing about the Visions, other than build quality, is their versatility. They already have a gas burner insert, a pellet hopper insert is coming out this year, and a possible electric burner sometime after that.

Going on year 4 with my classic B from Sams. Knock on wood, my firebox hasn't cracked. I've done a couple hundred cooks on it (sears, short smokes, long smokes, you name it). It's been a great grill. It shows no signs of slowing down.

I finally got to put my hands on one today in Houma. It's the Professional C series. Comes with a ton of accessories, however it looks a little small. I assume you can only smoke a half of a brisket?

I've had mine for years, only issue is that the wheels on the stand bent (stand made of cheap aluminum or something). Grill itself has been great

Hardware store on St.Charles St. It's the Professional C Series I believe for $750. Looks like it came with the heat deflector, fire starter, cover, dual racks. It looks a little small.

I have a BGE, but Im trying to get my dad to get a vision with the propane attachment. They seem to be a great deal.
