Drove past Morganza and then over ORCS. First time posting pics hope it works.

Fixed it

This was the first time ever at te ORCS but the wake after the lower sil structure was about 20-30 feet tall the pics doesn't do it justice. Not sure if it's always like this or not.

This is the lower sil structure of the ORCS(old river control structure). If you look on google maps it is the middle of the three structures that take water from the Miss R and divert to the Atch R.

Here is the auxiliary structure. There are two guys fishing at the base for reference of size. Again I've never been there so I dont know about the amount of water if usual or alot more.

This is the actual morganza spillway that will be opened Saturday. Back Bay (I think that is what it's called) is to the right. Water right up to the top of the structure it seams. Planning to drive by next Wednesday again. Maybe more pics.

I know there will be alot of people with lives changed over the weekend my prayers are with you. Let me know with a call out on this board if help is needed. Not sure what I can do but I'll try.

I wasn't sure how turbulent it normally was. But it was impressive.

My Mom grew up in Simmesport. Up until my Grandparents died, I drove by that plenty of times.
