The only and I mean only snake that could even approach that length and circumfrence is a King Cobra. In fact I would be willing to bet that is what the picture is of. Probably close to a tea plantation in India. There is no snake even close to that size in LA.
You are joking right? From the looks of that picture Id say that snake is 12-15ft long. There are multiple snakes, besides the King Cobra, that can grow longer than that.
Burmese pythons grow up to 19 ft long.
Anaconda's have gotten up to 28ft long.
Reticulated pythons have grown up to 33ft.

None of those would be that thin, for the length. Have to agree that a King would be the most likely choice.

IMHO - The strangest part of this pic...
... is the fact that Chewbacca seems to have the head of a Japanese Snow Monkey in his mouth.

Spotted a Narwhal yesterday while heading back to New Roads...no big deal I've seen them before but never took the time to snap a pic...thought I'd share since everyone else is sharing their cool animal pics.

I received this just now in a email thread. The text just says this
"Spotted while driving past the Morganza spillway"
It seems awfully skinny for a snake that long. I say fake...what say the board?
My guess is it's a taipan, landscape is definitely close to new south wales in Australia. Having spent a month there it looks like any areas between Sydney and Queensland. And they propel a little defferently than smaller snakes. They roll muscles on their abdomens instead of the characteristic slither we are used to
ETA: Their abdomens, or ground side, are very flat. Their bodies are much more triangular than ovoid
