Algiers 5/14, just a few photos.

Plenty of dry levee left on the Westbank, looked like it would take an additional 10-12 feet to come close to the top.
A pano across the river:

That cruise ship doesn't look like it's gonna make it

Better not to max out our needs but question on the last pic. There's no way that is real is there? Doesn't look like the Cruiseliner will clear.

Yeah, on the eastbank we had at least 10' of concrete showing with another 5' or so of grass after that at around noon.

They don't go under. They turn around when they leave port and head out to sea.

That's real, nothing edited there. I'm not 100% sure whether or not the ship goes under the CCC when it departs, or if it turns on departure.

The Riverwalk has about 3 feet left, at least by the boat.

There is a flood wall after the levee there though, correct? I avoid that place/area like the plague.

Yeah, I've always wondered if that floodwall functions or not. I've never seen it closed.
The bums had their shite hanging all over it this morning.

The Carnival cruise ship could not clear with the river at it's normal height

Algiers generally gets the least problems when it comes to flooding.

I just got off that ship this morning. The cruise liners turn around and head back down river from that point. Even at regular depth it wouldn't be able to go beneath the bridge

Yes. That boat turns around and goes down river.

I've seen it in person. It really is that tall.
