I'm taking individual photos of my daughter's soccer team tonight. The team is called legends.

Can someone make a large logo with the team name that I can add to each image.

The only requirements, the team colors are blue & white, with black trim. I'm taking these shots tonight, so the background will be black. The border of "legends" will need to be white.

I am imagining something along the font of "Walk On's". Maybe use "Legends never quit" (but not mandatory)

I will not start processing the photos until a few days from now, so I don't need the logo tonight.

Marky Mark is pretty good with the logos. Maybe he'll check in.

Something along these lines?

Might be cool to include a soccer ball somewhere in there as well. (maybe redundant?)

That's nice, but one thing I forgot to mention, I'm taking these shots tonight, so the background will be black. The border of "legends" will need to be white.

I made the correction in the OP

Those should work, I really like the second one.

Hopefully in three weeks, I will need to ask you to add "State Champs!" To th logo. They were state champs last year for the U11 league, and are pretty much favorite to win it again this year.

Funny thing, I'm a photographer. I can process an image within minutes, and even can do some decent Farks, but when it comes to stuff like this, I have no idea how to do it.

Nope, but you'll (strangely enough) take 2nd place and like it!

Give this a whirl. You're good with this kind of thing.

Cool no worries, I'll keep the psd on hand. Pretty impressive they are it sounds. Are you the coach or did I miss that in the OP?

Not the coach, just a dad that lends his photography hobby to the team. When we go to tournaments, there is some company that is always trying to sell really bad pano's of the teams. Luckily, I shoot all of this, plus individual photos, and action shots during the games and give them all to the parents to do with what they want. Those cheap panos are prints on cheap paper, with a cheap printer, and framed in a cheap plastic Walmart frame. They ask $120 for that garbage.

I heard a story about this awhile back. Some photogs are able to print the photos from their car these days which is in the parking lot. Thought that was pretty cool, but was iffy about the quality.

What kind of DSLR do you have? I've always wanted to get a starter DSLR but barely have enough time to keep up the house, let alone go snap photos.

Your a good man. I know how much that stuff can cost, especially when your team is really good and have to travel all across 'Murica. Those costs add up in a hurry.

I have a Canon 5D mkiii with 70-200 2.8 lens and 24-70 2.8 lens. Just the less three items alone are $5000+. I have another camera, a cheap T1i and a few lenses for it. If you add up everything I have, tripods, flashes, filters, software, etc, I probably have about $9000 in equipment, and that is still a drop in the bucket compared to what some "pros" have.

Pretty good for an amateur photog with kids

My cousin (who lives in CA) went to Brooks Institute over there near Santa Barbara. He was strapped for cash before his folks became gazillionaires. He used to leave his equipment in his Pathfinder with the windows down while he went out to go surfing and voila - all his shite was taken Insurance $$ etc.

Thanks a ton Mark!!!

As for the money I have in my equipment, I have sold a few of my pieces and have done shoots for different people (wedding, portraits, Baton Rouge Symphony). I use this money to buy (upgrade equipment). I have learned not to be "I need the next greatest and latest". My 24-70 lens was nearly $2000 new. Canon comes out with a newer version, I get the older model used for about 65% off and it looks brand new.

Yea from what I understand, once you're ready to upgrade, you dump all your old crap to a newbie to subsidize your new stuff.

Where do you buy your stuff if you don't mind?

Ever since Kadair's closed, I buy from B&H on line, or simply shop on eBay.
