Realize this the Fark Board and all, but rape is a heinous, despicable act. That's not a word to use lightly.

Jameis Winston was not charged with a crime. The State's District Attorney's office did not feel that they had sufficient evidence to go forward and bring the case to trial.

There is much information online to suggest this was a consensual encounter and information in the 200+ page State Attorney's report don't put the accuser in the most favorable light. People can research it if they cared. I have and have drawn my own personal opinions.

The truth of exactly what did and did not occur most likely lies somewhere between what the accuser is now saying, what she previously said to the police and investigators, and Winston’s claim that it was consensual. That truth is probably closer to the info released by the AG office which was the basis for no charges being filed.

I assume most FSU fans are pretty rational folks who would rather let the evidence take its course and lead us to whatever the truth is. His actions are certainly questionable and suggest that he is not a morally upstanding young man. To assume he is a rapist, however, is just as damaging as trashing the accuser.

No one wins here. By the way, I have kids too and this entire situation is disturbing for any parent. You hope and pray that never happens to your daughter, or your son.
