Ameritard FC

I'd like to create an avatar sized logo for the USMNT (United States Mens National Team) supporters on this site to use to show their support during the upcoming World Cup. Here are a couple source pics or feel free to use your own.

I need some help from you fine folks over here on the fark board to make this happen. Otherwise it will forever remain a cool idea I had. 
I thought it may be cool to replace the ball in the official logo with the ball with the flag on it.
Do whatever you want with it. If we get enough ideas we can open it for voting.

Nice. Now what do you think about sizing that down and replacing the crest in the first picture? Also I think it needs to have Ameritard FC on it somewhere.

Dude I think we're almost there. Is it difficult to make the red on the crest the same color as the darker red on the background?
Also what if you did white letters with a navy outline on Ameritard FC. Have "Ameritard" in bigger letters all the way across the top, and FC under the point of the crest at the bottom?
Or what about bending the letters in Ameritard over the top of the crest? Kind of similar to this...
I'm just throwing out ideas if you don't want to do any of this it's cool, but thanks for the help.
