If there is going to room for leniency it needs to be added to the rulebok.
Apparently RULES arent fricking enough for you guys....there has to be levels of rules and interpretations of how illegal it was.
This is why I feel we need to follow the rules as they are written. If we stick to the rule now then we can always say that the league follows rules as they are written.

i was a commish for a football and baseball league for 4 years, one of the best on the 'net (serious fricking leagues, like $75 buy in type shite). I also stayed at a holiday inn express last night. i've seen what bending the rules can do in a league, trust me bro it isn't pretty. im scared that shite will happen here and it will be the end of the world and our lives might cease to exist. because this is serious fricking business bro and we need to handle this shite ASAP and clean up the mess and prevent an oil spill like event because once we bend the rules then this shite that happens all the time will come in and pollute our fricking league bro and it will make this shite null and fricking void

See this is where you are missing the point - if it was simply about his lineup not being set I would be with you, however it's not. A trade went through and he forgot to drop someone. This is the only reason I would approve of his stats counting.
It's not like when Gyno just forgot to set his lineup all together and wanted his points.
FWIW I am not upset about this. Whatever you guys decide to do is fine with me.

There is no rule that says u cant trade someone not on your team. However the rules define what is a free agent and what isnt. It's pretty obvious you cannot trade a player that isnt on your team.
