With CMC looking to be out 4-6 weeks, do I take up this offer for Conner?

JK Dobbins
Mike Davis is on waivers but there’s no guarantee of me snagging him.
Conner always seems doomed with injuries so I’m very hesitant, but 6 weeks is half of a fantasy season.

ETA: he has Josh Jacobs, Joe Mixon, and Swift so he can afford to trade away Connor

For added context,
The rest of my starting squad is Watson, Thielen/Fuller/Kittle, and Marvin Jones/Lamb for a flex spot. So basically, can that team hold off until CMC returns or is going after Connor the right move at the moment?

I'd 100% chill and roll on the waiver wire.
You have Dobbins and Hunt. That's really not that bad. Conners isn't that big of an upgrade there.
Plus CMC probably closer to 4 than the 6.

I am targeting CMC in every league I am in, but offering nothing more than my 3rd RB. I am happy to lose 4-6 weeks of Melvin Gordon's production for a healthy CMC going into the playoffs.

You have some boom or bust players (Thielen/Fuller/Jones) and a hurt Georgie Kittle. I think you can eek out 2-3 record while CMC is out and don't see Connor tipping the scales much in either direction. your team will be top half of the league in points scored, but there are going to be weeks you get your arse kicked and weeks you put up 160 points. I'd hold CMC and hope for the best

Appreciate it brah. I don’t blame my buddy trying to give me Conner fresh off his monster game, but JC’s history is still in the back of my head
And while I’m looking at 1-1 (assuming Taysom doesn’t get me the win tonight with 15 points), I’m really not expecting a combined 3 points between Thielen/Fuller most weeks.
