You go right ahead and pick a back up RB with your fourth pick.

You have my blessing

I'm not really planning anything currently. We have 3-4 weeks of preseason football left, anything can happen. I'm just trying different things in mocks. So far in the 7 spot, drafting 3 WRs first works out pretty well.

Similar reasons to David Wilson last year.

I drafted online with my league last year, took too long on my second pick and got David Wilson. Didn't want him, hurt me so bad.

I've been going back and forth on this decision for my RB2....

Ellington or Murray? (10-team standard scoring)

I ended up with Ray Rice, Trent Richardson, and David Wilson. Looked great on paper.

This thread just seems like something that will be bumped mid season after Ellinton falls off the map.

I like the guy, but these dudes are getting their hopes up.

That's either a lie or you play with morons. If you got stuck with wilson in the second that means either richardson or Rice went in the 3rd?! They were both first rounders last year.

theres a guy on this board who got seriously burnt by 3 "camp stud" RBs last year

same guy also happens to be in on Ellington this year

I agree 100%. Whether you buy the Ellington hype or not, he is not worthy of first round consideration. Murray is.

Ellington may out shine his most glowing prediction, but there is no need to over-elevate his draft status.

Uhh... Wilson in the 3rd. I missed the part where I said I grabbed Wilson in the second.

This is where I'm leaning as well. It's an auction league so I could in theory get either guy, Murray tends to go for around 40 and Ellington around 30. I feel like Murray is the better bet there.

Andre Ellington Ready For Workload

quote:

Ellington would try and bob and weave as the Detroit Lions Hall of Famer. It was Sanders who made his team go. “He was one of my idols,” Ellington said. “I’d mimic my game in Pop Warner after him. Now I’m in his shoes.” Ellington will be the engine of the Cardinals’ offense this season, the “bellcow” of the backfield, coach Bruce Arians said. What that will mean in practice is something different. Unlike the heady days of Sanders, few running backs get 22-to-25 carries a game anymore. Ellington certainly will not. What will he do? The possibilities are intriguing. Arians said Ellington could be a starting wide receiver on a team if that had been his chosen position. Ellington can get the ball out of the backfield through handoff, toss or swing pass. He can work out of the slot and he can line up wide. His first crucial opportunity with the Cardinals, in fact, was on a wheel route against the Rams in the 2013 season-opener, a play that had it connected (it did not) would have won the game. “It’s fun creating things with a player like him,” Arians said.

quote:

“Whatever (Arians) throws in my face,” Ellington said, “I’ll be ready for the possibility.”
