What's y'all's opinion on sitting a defense?

I've never been in this situation before but I've heard this happen often.

So I'm by 3 points. My opponent is done and I have Buffalo's defense. Defense can of course get negative points and while I expect their defense to bounce back, there's a chance I could lose. I'm also leading the league in points by 80 on the next team so I'm not hurting for that.

So just curious. In that situation, would y'all bench the defense and secure the win, or just ride it out and keep them in?

Depends on the rules of your league. If your league allows you to sit your defense then why take the risk

Play your defense. Don’t play scared to lose.

Depending on your scoring rules d/st go negative routinely, I’d bench them in that situation.

I asked the same question in a different thread today. Decided to play them up 7.5. I'm now up 12.5 but things will shift poorly if the Broncos keep scoring.

I’ve done it a few times over the years. If I’m up by less than 10 with only my D left between us, I usually sit them.
