This is why I don’t buy that Michel not being involved had anything to do with learning the playbook, you can pick a RB off the street and play him.

Different offenses. McVay is very particular and practice time is needed. Many of his plays look like other plays and they have to be consistently ran the exact same way. I am fairly confident that they didn’t trade a 5th and 6th for him to ride the pine bc like you said you can literally pluck a back off the street. However he just got into LA and McVay doesn’t trust him yet.
