10 team league, PPR, 6 pt passing TDs, currently 2-0 and have this sneaking suspicion I might be trading just for the sake of it. Assistance please!

RB-Zeke, CMAC, Mixon, Hyde, Powell and Lat Murray
WR-Michael Thomas, Thielen, Tate, Hogan, Alshon
TE-OJ Howard

Being offered Cousins and Jordan Reed for Tate and Luck from an 0-2 team

His team:
QB-Mahommes, Cousins
RB-Kamara, Hunt, Lindsay, A-Peterson, A Jones
WR- Allen Robinson, Enunwa, Funchess, Geronimo Allison
TE-Reed, Engram, Ebron

I would absolutely do that. I'm not sure why the other guy does that, but if I were you I would. You're upgrading at both positions with very little risk. When Alshon comes back he would be at least equal to Tate as you're WR3, Cousins is an upgrade and if Reed gets hurt, you've still upgraded while trading a piece you won't use in Tate.

Alshon will not be as good as Golden Tate. That’s silly.

And rivers and cousins are basically a wash

Reed and oj Howard. Slight advantage to Reed but he will most likely get hurt again soon. Bc he always does...

Trade doesn’t really seem helpful IMO

Cousins make this a good trade imo. Have Plan B for TE when Reed goes down.

Last year Tate finished the season with 14 PPR points per game, Alshon 12.2. They're very similar. I have Rivers and I really would love to agree with you about him and Cousins being the same, but I think I would rather Cousins.
