Top 5 Bust/Steals so far

Mine
Bust
1. Chris Johnson- Absolute joke, 2 double digit games and has yet to have a rushing TD this season.
2. Cam Newton- Ponder, Flacco, Big Ben and Dalton are all above him right now.
3. LeSean McCoy- He's been decent, but Andy Reid's absolute commitment to Vick has turned McCoy into a 'ok' flex play. Many people's #1 overall pick has 1 rushing TD.
4. Ryan Mathews- Widley considered a 1st round pick, Mathews has produced a whopping 5-8-19-8 game performances. Not to mention the 2 games he's already missed to injury.
5. Tony Romo- I honestly thought he would be an incredible value pick this year but 7 TDs and 9 Ints later I stand corrected.
Steals
1. RG3- He's been a monster. He hardly turns the ball over and in 6 games he's produced 20+ pts 5 times and 30+ 2 times. He was taken in the 9th round in my league and has been torching it for the genius who took the chance on him.
2. Alfred Morris- The other Skin's rookie has come out of nowhere to be an incredible waiver wire pickup. He's tied for 2nd in rushing TD's and is 4th in the league in rushing yds. He's on pace for 1435 yds and 13 TDs.
3. Tony Gonzales- The old war horse has proven age is no match for him. He has the same amount of fantasy points as LeSean Mccoy and has more than Brandon Marshall, Marques Colston, Calvin Johnson, Michael Turner, Larry Fitzgerald, Gronk and Graham.
4. AJ Green- Everyone knew had the talent, but no one knew he would absolutely explode as he as. Averaging 105 yds and a TD a game he's on pace to have more yds and the same amount of TD's as Megatron's monster '11 campaign.
5. Peyton Manning- I can't believe myself but I actually doubted him. He might not throw the same tight spiral but he gets the job done and is on pace for 4821 yds 37 TDs 11 Ints. Arguably the greatest of all time, Peyton continues to slaughter defenses.

McCoy as an ok flex play?
whut?

Nice list. I think Spiller should be honorable mention for the steals list. If he wouldn't have gotten hurt, he would be a top 5 fantasy back right now

i wouldn't call Green a steal...he was a very high pick for most people. he's outplayed expectations though.
Manning has been awesome for me. Fifth in points among QBs, ahead of Tom Brady. drafted him in the 8th round

Wayne was a hell of a steal

AJ Green steal?
He was widely ranked top 3 coming into the season

I drafted AJ Green at end of 3rd round in 12 team standard scoring, hardly a steal. But Megatron, Roddy, Fitzgerald, Jordy Nelson, Julio all went before him in the draft so I guess in my case he is a steal.
Gore needs to be on the steal list. He was highly doubted going into the season and has been a stud so far.

A solid 95% of the rankings I saw went like this:
1. Megatron
2. Fitzgerald
3. Andre Johnson
4. Roddy White
5. Greg Jennings
6. Mike Wallace
7. Wes Welker
Then I saw large mixture of Hakeem Nicks, Julio Jones, AJ Green, Brandon Marshall and Steve Smith.

quote:McCoy is 21st in scoring among TE/WR/RB. He is better than an OK flex I should say a solid #2 RB. But if I take a RB #1 overall I don't want 1 rushing TD in 6 weeks of work.
McCoy as an ok flex play?
quote:Not sure if you have trouble reading, but the label is Top 5. Wayne is w/o a doubt a steal, I just believe that RG3, Morris, Peyton, Tony G and Green were all larger steals. And it's easy to sit there and criticize post a list and gtfo.

Second and third rounders aren't steals. Replace AJ Green with Reggie Wayne and you have yourself a list.

How about Matt Ryan as a steal?
Most got him in 6/7th round
I got him in the 9th
Also I agree with McCoy as a bust; he's been OK, but considering I took him #2 over Ray Rice hr's been pretty disappointing.
I'm 2-4, if I'd have drafted Rice I'd be 5-1
ETA: I also picked up Stevan Ridley in round 12 of a different league draft, he's been my best RB (also drafted CJ suck arse) so that's a massive steal

What did you expect when you posted a list of busts and steals. Unanimous agreement or critique of your list? If you can't handle criticism, don't post a fricking list.

Mathews got hurt before most drafts and dropped out of the first round by a good bit. He was expected to miss 2-3 weeks, he came back in Week 3. He had a couple rough weeks but can you really complain about 8-19-8 the last 3? And it looks like he's going to have a good year. He's already ranked 27th about RBs in standard scoring, having missed two weeks. Which, again, people drafting him knew going in.
I don't think he's a bust at all.

AJ Green and Tony Gonzalez are not steals.
Kyle Rudolph is a legitimate steal. Picked him up in the 13th round and he's put up 79.5 points so far this season.
